There is a debate among many adults that has been going on for as long as cereal has been put into a box and stuffed with a toy (c'mon, you still buy it for the toy!). The debate is whether cereal is best served dry or over milk. For some, they won't even go near cereal unless swimming in milk, and served with spoon. For others, they just reach into the box and pull out a fist full to crunch down on it.
If you're like me, you like your cereal both ways. If I have the time in the morning (cough) I like to pour myself a big bowl and casually eat my cereal. Depending on the cereal, a little soggy cereal is just what you need along with your morning coffee. But if your'e also like me, mornings aren't exactly your friend. Often times I'm dancing with my snooze button for just 5 more minutes until my 5 more minutes are up and I'm rushing out of the door. I found myself throwing some cereal in a Tupperware container and nibbling on it at the offie. I found I love doing this!
The best thing about packing some dry cereal is that it is perfect to have for a quick breakfast at work, or to get you through your mid-morning, or mid-afternoon rumblies. There is nothing wrong with using your fingers to just nibble on your favorite kind. It's far healthier than chips or candy, and it satisfies that sweet craving that nags at you like the devil on your shoulder. Go ahead, pour yourself a bowl or container full, kick your feet up, and enjoy the subtle crunch of your favorite brand (also, give the toy to the kid!)
